One song that makes me hummmm all the time is jaadugar jaadu kar jayee ga… song starts on an easy note as if guru was leisurely strolling in woods. He was known to talk to trees and called trees as his friends. In real sense they are true friends, they mean no harm to any one and are there to give and only give. This song, the start, comes very close to that. Walk in the woods with his Leo swagger, that is how much at ease he was with his singing. Just simple, plain and effortless go at melody and that too throughout the song. Way to go, this is my song for the day VERY WELL SAID Marcilo BHAI. Always Be Happy & Make Other's Happy

Last night while watching Ek Haseen thi from "new" karzzz on TV I just drifted back in time. It was like time travel, going back almost 25 years or so. I remember I had option of watching Karz or Judai (Jeetu, Rekha) and I opted for Karz. Well it's a separate thing that I somehow managed to watch other one too, and ... very next day.. lol. Well I am talking about good old days when one had to take permission to go out and watch movie, not sure about others but I had to in school days.
Coming back to Ek haseena thi track, personally I believe redoing old tracks doesn't weave same magic as original track but all in all I look at the positive side when some people are dead against doing this. To me, it's another way of paying tribute to a legend. Don't we hum or sing? So does that mean any disrespect? Anyways, strange thing was that HR was trying to break away from his usual self. Its wasn't his sufi, well some people call his style as sufi style but that is a separate debate in itself, style or let me say his normal style. He was trying to get into Guru's shoes. Good or bad is a personal choice and people will have different opinion. I remember euphoria associated with this track (original Karz). It was like a rendezvous, you are all excited about it and yet you are scared about it too. Some kind of feeling that is associated with tracking exam result, you want to know about it yet you want to hold on for some more time. In movie this is when Rishi has to tell Simmi who he really is and how he knows about her hidden past. ….And what way to describe this ...... in Guru's voice. A fast paced song with excellent humming. In fact movie has slow humming, of this song, in Guru's voice too. Ok back to Eek Haseena thi song, this all drops to almost no music… no pace and no adrenaline … just his Voice.. and to convey how helpless Ravi Verma was back then… and how Monty's agony is elevated by knowing what his family had to endure… and "Mar gaya wo nujawaan….. (janam le ke kahin)" reverberates all over .. And that is sheer magic… - Just another gummy bear fan

While listening to bataao aai duniya waalon.. hum pyaar kayoon na Karen from Saboot Mangta Hai Kanoon.. I just noticed that some part or notes were used in Tridev. Listen to it carefully when Sadhana Sargam sings … bataao aai duniya waalon… you probably will find shades of gajar ne kiya hai ishara.. (ooye ooye song)
This song is out and out KA song when it comes to music. Its written all over and one doesn't have to listen to it too long to figure that out. Even though Tridev came way back in 1989 and Saboot Mangta Hai Kanoon is marked as 1994, I am pretty sure tridev was recorded after SMHK. So next time when you are listening just pause and think about tridev number too. - Just another gummy bear fan

Yes indeed d song matches with d tridev song...while sadhna sargam singing 'batao aye duniywalo'...but guru singing the same part in a diff. manner..giving bit force nd power...though anwar dint go for that part...Nice Composition By Kalyanji Anandji in That Song Of Saboot Mangta Hai Kanoon or Khush Kismat..Later inspired by his own tune in Tridev[89].. .....such things can be noticed in some other songs of KK...Rajesh Roshan also used a particular tune in one of his recent films..... Yes, it's not uncommon, they do use their own work and rightly so. They break up notes here and there or well, it could be because musicians working for them are all more or less same. I was surprised when I heard bond theme was actually made for an Indian movie and later notes were adjusted to come up with that famous 007 tune.
Talking about RR, I love the way he used Flute in his compositions. It will be entirely different discussion but his use of sitaar in khoon bhari maang was amazing Coming back to SMHK song, I guess this is amongst one of the very few songs that Anwar did with guru. Well famous being Qurbaani song with him - Just another gummy bear fan

QUOTE Flute in his compositions I loved LPs' flute usage in the Jackie Shroff starrer - Hero.. SG with LP used one instrument as a "character" in the movie. Flute was very much part of Hero, benjo was part of Karma, Ram lakhan had Dhol. - Just another gummy bear fan
