Though this is a CD rip, the sound quality is not at its best ( i remember to have heard better quality in my younger days on radio) ...wonder if the film is available on VCD or DVD - haven't come across it yet. I have this on audio cassette too...but similar quality only. Have used a bit rate of 192 kbps for this one.

One of my favourite Rafi-Madan Mohan songs :

Kuch aisi pyari shakl mere dilruban ki hai
Jo dekhta hai kehta hai, kudrat khuda ki hai

CD rip...from the film Naya Kanoon 1965, lyrics of Hasrat Jaipuri, who worked in very few films with Madan Mohan.

Thanks Sri ji for this great melody. The association of Madan Mohan and Mohammed Rafi is one one of the greatest chapters of HFM. Although Madan Mohan composed more songs for the female voice and his songs with Lata get great recognition (and rightly so), his association with Rafi Sahab was the one that game him both recognition and commercial success. Their last association Laila Majnu (75) was also a hugh commercial success. The songs of which IMO could only be justified by Rafi Sahab.

Friends,

This is to let you know that I have given up my effort to bring Unni back to HF.

There were some differences with regard to the administration of HF and this apparently snowballed into some unpleasant discussions, as I was given to understand. I was trying to help in bringing people together again. However, as of now, neither side has shown any interest in resolving this matter in a friendly manner....and, as such, it is perhaps futile for me to continue any effort in this direction.

What will be, will be.
