I had 5 windows open with 2 in the post mode. Pasted the wrong post in the wrong place. As luck would have it, my connection failed at that moment and would not reconnect for another 15 mins or so. sad1.gif
I have now deleted my post, please delete Urs too.

Suniye suniye to
Tum jahaaN jahaaN hum wahaaN wahaaN
haay tum jahaaN jahaaN hum wahaaN wahaaN

Naah, I think I am going to leave that passage in there.
I am not as much a fan of Jane Eyre myself (much prefer Wuthering Heights),
but this passage is nice. It could symbolically seen as your love for Asha.

Kaise laDki hai yeh. Galati woh karti hai, phir mujh bechaare par hi gussa

What is a thenga smilie? Thenga in Tamil is coconut. But I am not sure I
get the connection.

Gives me the creeps.

I think it is a better written book with a lot of complex characters. Yes it is
dark, but that is human nature for you. "Jane Eyre" has a better story-line,
certainly more romantic, but "Wuthering Heights" is more about the dark
side of love.
Just to keep this relevant to HF, "Jane Eyre" was made in Hindi as "Sangdil"
with lovely music by Sajjad. It was made in Tamil as "Santhi nilayam" with
exceptional music by M S Vishwanathan. I saw the Tamil version years back
on TV (I was just 8-9 years old) and the crazy wife gave me the creeps, a
fear that lasted for years.
I believe "JE" had been made earlier in the 40s as well, but I cannot recall
the name of the film.

"WH" was made as "Dil diya dard liya" with some nice songs by Naushad.

Thenga in Malayalam too would be coconut. I am talking about Hindi. Where U gloat with a gesture of the thumb once U outwit someone or manage something that they said U cannot. clap1.gif

Read both books at a rather tender age. Being fond of animals could not stomach the hanging/strangling of the dogs in WH and that kind of discoloured the entire novel for me. Jane Eyre is a novel of hope and the triumph of love and life. Life can be dark enough without having to read novels of dark and psychotic characters!!!

Ave Maria as promised.
Well, many promise, some fulfil tongue.gif

I am not too fond of tracks 1 & 4. All music. My fav is the one SB says Asha composed herself--Calling. Forget the real track names. Anyway that is track 2. Track 3 is also fine.

The "unrelenting" I learnt from you. THe "unchivalrous", if it is true (which it
is really not) is also inspired by you. CauseI have e-mails from women who
quite positively state the opposite about me. Right T-ji??

THIS is why you need to use the combination of upper and lower case
in your transliterations, you know the same kind that you deride me for
using. You meant Tenga, but wrote thenga.
And anyway, even if you had written it correctly, I would not have known
it, cause I am just not the gloating kind.

"Tender age" huh. Never thought you were actually of a tender age ever.
Young, certainly. Naive, maybe.

Ooops, was that unchivalrous. blab.gif

Wish U would learn to ul also from me. Then I would not have had to spend half an hr uling Ave Maria which U promised to share. arrogant.gif
Waise the test of chivalry would be when the lady is this: angry2.gif
Anyone can be chivalrous to this: blink1.gif

Ya, gloating over a lack of chivalry would certainly be overdoing it. laugh.gif
