This song refers to a violent episode in Sikh history. Nand Lal Nurpuri had a way with his words. The tenderness and feelings he expresses about the valiant death of one of Guru Gobind Singh's four sons are worth all the praise he can get. Sisters Surinder Kaur and Parkash Kaur have also sung this song with a rarely special feeling.
I am not too much of a fan of religious songs (I do have a decent quota of Hindu, Sikh, & Muslim religious songs)
