Here it goes...
A king decides to have a wine party after 5 weeks.
he has 1000 bottles of wine.
But his enemy adds some poison in one bottle.
Poison is such that you will die after one month (4 weeks).
Now King still wanna have party..
so he decided to try the wine on 10 prisoners.

Now what should he do so that before party he come to know that which wine has poison.
And guys.. mind you.. he does not want to waste any extra bottle of wine.

I think all wine drinkers can understand..

well there are two solution. i m giving the one which is smart and bit difficult to understand..

a) code the prisoners from 0 to 9. code the bottles from 001 to 1000
(b.) Say bottle is XYZ. Then give the prisoner Z to drink Bottle XYZ on day 1, prisoner Y to drink Bottle XYZ on day 2 and prisoner X to drink Bottle XYZ on day 3. So example, say bottle 9, prisoner 9 to drink Bottle 9 on day 1,
prisoner 0 to drink Bottle 9 on day 2
and prisoner 0 to drink Bottle 9 on day 3.
Other say bottle 852, prisoner 2 to drink Bottle 852 on day 1,
prisoner 5 to drink Bottle 852 on day 2
and prisoner 8 to drink Bottle 852 on day 3.
For bottle 1000, it is prisoner 0 for all three days.
c) So, do the above wine drinking schedule for all bottles on 1st three days of month.
d) After, 30 days, watch out for the sequence in which prisoners die. Say, it is Prisoner x, then y and then z, the bottle is zyx.
Now say, it prisoner x on day 1, none on day 2 and prisoner y on day 3, then the bottle is yxx.
I am not doing the other cases as it is simple to figure out. so, if bottle 1000, then it will be just priosner 0 on day 1.
