Yob, is this song there on the cassette you have? The cassette I have does not.

There are 4 songs in the cassette - Khamosh sa afsana, Sili hawa choo gayi, phir kisi shakh ne and kya bura hain kya bhala...


What i could find on the internet regarding Libaas also has only these 4 songs listed on this album, (Eg: http://www.apunkabollywood.net/browser/cat...aas-%281988%29), while earthmusic and another links on google does state this song to be from Libaas.
I have seen the movies years ago.. And as far as I remember this song was not there in the movie

This composition is unmistakeably Jaidev's. It has his distinctive stamp all over. I don't think this can be an unused song from Libaas (unless Jaidev composed one song for the film, which is unlikely given the Gulzar-Pancham equation at that time).

you are absolutely right.the song is from an unnamed and unreleased film.the music was by jaidev and lyrics were by gulzar[confirmed from vishwas nerurkar's swarasha;also cross checked r d burmans filmography by nerurkar.

I just played the song now after downloading it yesterday. Yes, it has the distinct stamp of Jaidevji. Infact the tune reminds me so much of Ashaji's song from Suranjali - Tum so jao main gau...

Definitely a typo....the next song in the list - Pal Pal Beeti Jaaye is probably by Usha Khanna.

this must be the only collabration of gulzar and usha khanna.

I have never seen this album. Is it actually available? Does somebody have it? Interesting to hear
"Raat chhup chaap dabe paoN chali aati hai" in Hemant's voice and to see how he composed the tune
for that song (as opposed to Pancham's tune in "Dil paDosi hai").
Also there is Sabita's rendition of "Jaane kya sochkar nahi guzra" with music by Salil. Again this would
be a different imagination of the lyrics than what Pancham did in "Kinaara".

I don't think that any such album was ever released. This is just a listing of some non-film songs by Gulzar. These songs must've been released in several different compilations. For example, the two Lata-Hridaynath songs were released in an album called Mere Watan Ke Logo and the Rahman song was part of his Gurus of Peace album.
