With help from music lover friends, we launched the website http://www.geetadutt.com on 23rd November 2008 on the special occasion of birth anniversary of Geeta ji. All these days we have got great responses and feedback from so many persons from all over the world.

We all are committed to keep this site active and updated with fresh content on regular basis. We will be celebrating the first birthday of our website along with the birth anniversary of Geeta ji this year on 23rd November 2009.

As parag has mentioned we'll be making lots of additions to the websites.
To begin with we have added something geeta fans have been wanting to do for a long time.
You may recall that we had added a jukebox having around 250 Geeta songs from Hindi films. Now on public demand, we have now added jukeboxes for:-
1. Hindi Non-film Geeta Songs
2. Bengali Geeta Songs
3. Gujrati songs

You can access these new jukeboxes through the Resources tab of the menu as shown in attached figure.

This would not have been possible without the help of:-
(1) a music lover who contributed the songs but wishes to remain anonymous Abhay Jain ji
(2) Yogesh (yogihit) who helped make the song lists and other help.

We thank both of you from the bottom of our hearts for making this possible.

Thanks to HB for making these great features available. Big bunch of thanks to all the HF members who had shared these extremely rare songs. These have been collected and put together in these 3 jukeboxes for every one to listen online.

This is the first (and the most important) activity planned on the first birthday of our website which is 23rd of this month. The other on-going activities are the compilation of "100 songs : 100 composers" which was achieved in a record time of 48 hours and the "Quiz of the Day" thread which will continue till 23rd November.

Hope more and more music lovers will enjoy these memorable songs.

Thanks to both of them, now we have an almost comprehensive list of songs of Geeta ji from Gujrati films. The song list is posted on our website under "Song Database" section. Sharing some thoughts here on this thread on this special occasion.

Even long before I joined HF, a lot of research and ground work was being done (and is continued) by very active members like Dr Mahesh. When I joined the forum and began participating in the Geeta ji's forum, I was given warm welcome by most. Some critisized me, some few even ridiculed me. Not disturbed by whatever odds I faced, with the blessings of Geeta ji, we finally hosted this dream website. All thanks to the HF founders for the trust and freedom they gave us in making this happen. Initially some people thought that the euphoria will die down after hosting the site. We proved them wrong and continued to enrich the site. Slow and steady is our mantra. More and more music lover friends joined us in making this happen. Every one has personal and work commitments, still all manage to put in efforts and hearts in doing something for it. The blog section is a great addition to the site. We are grateful to the hundreds of friends who helped us in various ways and to the thousands of well wishers.

With your help, support and co-operation, we will continue to enrich this website. Thanks for every thing. One person can not do anything, a group of like minded people can make wonders. We have proved it and will continue to do it.
