All these days I was under impression that Geeta ji never got to sing for the great composer Pandit Amarnath sahab. Last week I listened to a song on HF radio from the film Roop Rekha (1948)

Fariyaad banke aankh mein aao naa aasooon..

I think this song is composed by Pandit Amarnath sahab.

She probably also sang some songs for this composer for the unreleased film Nagan.

Requesting confirmations/corrections on this.

parag..infact there were 3 music directors for the film
roop rekha..as..
Pt. Amarnath..Vidya Nath Seth..and i dont remember
the third one right now..
and it is not specified the music for each song
in geet kosh and as well as in any book..

the only source is the 78 rpm record which can make
"dhoodh ka dhoodh and pani ka pani"

some old music lover here told me that
for this geeta roy song...music was of
pt. amarnath..

Thanks for your inputs. I think the third name is Pandit Shiv Dayal Batish sahab. And yes, you are right, the 78 RPM record only can give us the name of the composer.
