Kaamchor (1982)

Vishwanath remade his fine 1980 Telugu movie "Shubhodayam" as "Kaamchor" in Hindi. He made about 55 movies, almost all of them in Telugu. Out of the 55, one was in Tamil and 10 were in Hindi. "Shubhodayam" augured the beginning of genesis of a creative genius and most of 80's saw Vishwanath at his creative peak. Unfortunately, as SimpleFable our fellow member correctly observed, the remakes did not have the same magic in Hindi. This movie however fared better.

Interestingly there is a song great C.H. Atma sang I am including here. This is exactly identical to the duet sung in this movie by Alka and Kishore. In my listings Atma's song was included as part of this movie but somehow I am not convinced that it is. Some of our learned members can elaborate.
