Thanks for the album. However, the Lata song Ankhen churaona sounds similar to the song Ankhen milayenge sung by Lata & Kishore for the film Bhanwar, the music for which was composed by R.D.Burman.
Well yeah.. it has been alleged that Bappida was inspired by RDB's music & came up with similar instrumentation & orchestra... Besides Kishore Kumar Ganguli who was a close relative to BappiDa was closely associated with RDB's music...
Besides both RDB & BappiDa had d familiarity wid Bengali music (Rabindra Music) to incorporate d same in their songs.
However its too difficult to rob BappiDa from his rightful claim of some of the outstanding tunes/ music he composed
We tend to overlook d fact that just like back in 1960's when d wannable new Music Directors (MD's) were heavily impressed by Shankar Jai Kishen styele.. no wonder all of d early composistions of even LaxmiPyare resemble the styele of SJ.. even RD was a SJ Bhakt...
This trend seems keeps repeating itself.. So we have a whole lot of Bappi & Rajesh Roshan who imulated RDB's style in the late 1970's
Its now d number of AR Rehman to rule d roost !
& we hv a whole bunch of new composers who r Rehman Loyalists
BTW, Neelesh pls share d song u mentioned from "BHAWAR' .. I don't have dat
