Hi Pradeep,

Just one more request.. can we have a sub forum under "Regional Languages" for the files, where one can post documents, fonts and (more importantly) regional songs???

Pavan..

Pavan I found that a file section is a waste these days.. coz if u take for eg. KK forum sharing of songs is happening all the time on the main forum irrespective of the file section. I am tired of moving the threads to the file sections.

Do agree with u but in the BBM files section also discussions go on which is off the topic(i mean off the uploads). Some synchronisation is needed. The ppl who visit the site should understand this and act accordingly.

Whenever it goes off the topic.. we mods do try to remove the thread. Dont we ?

Off the topic doesn't mean always what u r trying referring 2.
It also means when on that thread where a particular song is downloaded ppl keep on writting & at some point of time the post has no relevance to the heading of the thread.I am refrring 2 that.

Ya ok!!!!!!!!!! Any suggestion on what we could do?

The alternative I could think of is once the song is uploaded, juz close the thread from getting posted with more info that is irrelevant. Would that be ok?

No it need nt b.
But if its observed the postings that r taking place has no relevance 2 the thread the mod can send a gentle post highlighting the same.

The one way we could do is make it moderated. Let the moderated team decide what should go on BBM forum.
jayant
Yes I will.

Are u talking about a few individuals or the moderators?
Somehow that classification between BBM Forum & Files section has nt happened. Many a times I hv seen songs uploaded in main forum and topics initiated in files section.Definitely ppl who log in need 2 undrstand where 2 post what.

That is bcoz there is no difference in the look and feel between the files section and the main forum. Since the usability of both is same, its often fans don't make an attempt to indentify where they are posting and where they are uploading.

To be frank, the files section doesnt make sense. I wanted to move all the threads from that section into the main forum. The files section was created only for members to get used to the new forum during the transition from yahoo to hf. Anyway this decision has to come frm admin group collectively.

I am for it Pradeep. Even I dont believe in having a separate section called files section, unless there is juz a link of the song uploaded it makes no sense - esp when it is in the format of a thread opened.

I used to like the good ol' method we used to have before.

Hi Pavan,

Sorry for a delayed response. I've created a thread titled "Fonts" and pinned it up. We could use that to have all the fonts required listed in that thread.

Forum is not recommended for only a couple of threads.
