"Jo Prem Ka Dhang Na Jane Woh Premi Kis Baat Ki" by Kishore Kumar ?

This is not based on any Bengali Salil Chowdhury number known to me. - Sita.

I must confess that I have never heard of this song being composed by Salilda. I just checked salilda.com which seems to have each and every hindi film song listed but there also I couldn't find the reference to this song.
If you have this song would it be possible for you to upload it to the forum ?

Yes I can, but as I do not have any details available except the singer, as a new member I am not sure whether such u/l will be allowed or not. By the way, the prelude music of the song obviously carries Salilda mark. -Sita.

If you are really confident that the prelude music sounds very much like Salilda's then it will also be very interesting for the other Salilda admirers of this forum and we can all try and find out from which unreleased film this song might be. We can also ask the Kishore experts if they are aware of this song.

Hi Sita,

The title of this song is actually "raanjhe ki aankho se" and in the second stanza Kishore sings "Jo prem ki dhang na jane". This song is from the film "Jeevan Jyoti" (1976) and you are right, the Muisic Director is Salil Chowdhury. Incidently, I have the CD of this film which was released quite a few years back in the US and Canada. I think it is also available in India now.
