Tonight
Sveltlana Kuznetsova def. Elena Dementieva
what a display by K-dawgg, she really took it to Elena after one shaky start
such a huge forehand, hit about 10 winners in 1st 6 games!!!!
mother #$%#$%$%^
that's good stuff
Getting ready for tomorrow's finals
Federer and Hewitt
Fed has set himself apart from rest of the field
Lleyton Hewitt is having a great summer, blazing thru the draws, still hasn't a dropped a set..........he could give Federer a tough test but Federer will pull through
he's just too good right now!
i hope it's a tough, tight 5 setter tomorrow!
Poor Timmy, comes up short in SF again : (

Not one American in U. S. Open Finals, both men and women! Shocking.
No Roddick, no Agassi, no Capriati, no Davenport, let alone either Williams.
Rooting for Roger. Hewitt p'd off a lot of people after his remark to the linesman, couple of years ago, in the match against Blake.
Roger looks cool, like a present-day Bjorn Borg or Pete Sampras.

Definitely Unniji. he is a good future prospect for tennis star
of this decade. Marat safin gave up too early.

glad to know you watch tennis, my passion!>
The whole family watches tennis. One daughter was devastated because Jennifer lost. Other daughter was upset when Serena was upset. Wifey can't stand the new "roosies". I miss Gabriella and Anna.

James and Lleyton are over that actually
they played a 2nd time, and even that match went to a 5th set
they both applauded each other's shots andwhat not
but lleyton had/has an ongoing with ATP
because he refused interview once in cincy tournament
he decided to sue them etc etc
so last year was a low point, he dropped down to 17 in rankings
didn't play much tournaments
only best thing, the thing for him that salvaged his year was davis cup win over switzerland, when he came back from 2 sets to 0 down, and down a break 3rd set (3-5 i believe) to beat federer in 5 sets.
before that he did alright in US Open, losing to a red hot JC Ferrero in QF
Coindicene that in australian open.....hewitt lost to fed - fed won the championship
in french open - hewitt lost to gaston gaudio - gaudio won the title
wimbledon - hewitt lost to federer - federer won 2nd wimbledon
now us open - hewitt is facing federer again - god i hope hewitt can win this time
or it'll be 4 times hewitt has lost to eventual champ
haye rammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I don't really mind no americans in finals
it's all about watching good tennis for me
and people need to know about foreign players
cause right now hewitt and federer are on top of their game, and federer - no one is close to beatimg him
people better recognize here!
disapointed in capriate and davenport though
at such crucial time davenport got hurt
dementieva can look cute

It was upsetting that Serena lost, she deserved to win that match, one could clearly see her shots were mostly inside the line or touching the line in some way.
I like Maria Sharapova and I feel she's gonna have a big future.....she's as powerful as some of the other Russian women and can challenge the likes of Serena, Kuznetsova in the future.
Hopefully today will be a good men's final......looking forward to it !!
Cheers

all i can do is laugh
ha ha
and just admire the talent of roger federer
his sweet, fluid, silky game reminds you of mohd rafi's peerless, velvety voice
goddamnit
this guy has won 4 slams at age 23..........how many more ?
we can only wait and see

Sharad:
The second set was close. It was good to see Hewitt fighting and back in the game. Had the tie-break gone the other way, we would still be watching the game, and who knows what could have happened.
But you are right. Federer was in a zone today. Did not expect two bagels out of three in a final with two great players.

I saw the final... the guy is just poetry in motion. Every shot the guy is at such an easy!

The way Federer is going, he may come close to Pistol Pete's record of 14 Grand Slams.....he proved today once again why he is the world's number # 1.
LoL good one Sharad......his game sure was as fluid and as sweet as Rafi's voice

For a short while in the second set, I thought the little Aussie Guy just might pull back, and come through to a famous victory. Alas it was not to be.

Federer is amazing... I guess this guy has the potential to come close to Sampras' 14 grand slams. Only player who gave him tough time in US open was veteran Andre Agassi. At 34, he still looks good enough to win one of the four big events before retiring... That IMHO was the best Men's match of the US open this year.
Also, Roddick is reasonably good player too even though he could not make it big at US open. His match against Federer in Wimbledon was a good match...

yah lendl was last guy before hewitt to lose to all eventual champs in grandslams
aah
i was talking to university coach about the match today
let's see if federer can sustain this dominance, it's gonna get tougher
but it is a pleasure to see someone dominate the sport like how roger is doing
this is special stuff
i was missing pete so much, i decided to watch his matches : ) )

also it'll be interesting to see if federer can win the french open, by the far the hardest for him as he was waxed by guga kuerten this year 4, 4 and 4
a kuerten with not so good hip.
man i can't wait.......let's see , i even think federer can win the masters cup
oh my god
3 grand slams - total of 9 titles so far
and more ?

Someone has got to try and find a way to tackle that backhand of his.....its such an amazing shot.....no one has been able to stop it yet.
J. Johansson has a good future.....if those who saw him play Roddick will know he's also one to watch out for......he made Roddick sweat, run and work in that match
