I am uploading here a few songs of Salim Raza on request of Balaji. Here is a short introduction of Salim Raza I found on net:

Salim Raza was a super star playback singer, who dominated Pakistani Urdu film music from the mid 50s to the mid 60s. He was born in Lahore in a Christian family and his first film as playback singer was Qatil in 1955. He got breakthrough from his all time super hit song "Yaaro mujhe muaaf rakho, main nashey mein hoon..." (Saat Laakh - 1957)
He sung many other super hit songs in many big films like Aas Paas, Do Rastey, Haboo, Hamsafar, Seema and many more (See the list to the right). His last big film was Pail ki jhankar in 1966.
Salim Raza died in 1983 in Canada.

Yes the song sounds almost exactly as Rafi has done it. I first heard Saleem Raza when he sang a duet with Noor Jehan in the song "Ye Na Thi Hamari Kismat." Even then I was impressed by his voice and singing style. I found him to be half way between Talat and Rafi. Here again in this song I find the same conclusion. It is as one had found a song that was in between Rafi's and Talat's renditions of "Chal Ud Ja Re Panchhi."

For the last few years I have been hunting for Saleem Raza's songs but do not seem to have made any headway here in the Greater Toronto Area. I must rethank the uploaders for providing me this golden opportunity in this thread.

During my last visit to Pakistan(May this year) Kh.Najam told me
about this programmae. I did not ask for any detail.
