I didn't think you would really follow up on this, but give me some time and you might see my first ever try, at least start of the song or a stanza (again no gurantees as I qm quite shy at it). I really believe some other professional level singer would be a proper justice to your creations (hope someone stands up).
Meanwhile, please continue to upload/share great stuffs you have been creating.

I can understand exactly what you mean. I too am very shy to sing.
(So listening myself singing is what i usually avoid)

Another thing is that venturing to sing a song already heard and hummed many times is easier for me to gather courage and to attempt atleast (though with pathetic results!)

But a song with completely new words and / or tune is altogether a different proposition.

That is exactly why all these GREAT PLAYBACK SINGERS are so GREAT.
That they sang a song and made it THEIR OWN.

This is a totally new idea. Great you thought of writing new lyrics to the same tune and that way it imparts energy among the singers to record it afresh.

If you come up with any of such Kishore Kumar songs please do provide.

You have a good voice.

Your attempt is indeed commendable.

You opted to sing even without a scale guidance (i.e. without the 'SA' of your scale playing)
and that is difficult.

I suggest that you give another try with the 'SA' playing in the background, as most singers do while singing adlib (i.e. without orchestra), which helps them in remaining in the same scale throughout the song.

Unfortunately since I've lost my first laptop, I have no Karaoke, no echo, no jet-audio, nothing available in this new laptop to record a clip and upload it here..........as i said i am not a singer yet and i am just learnin Shudh and Akar from an Indian Ustad for now.........However, i will upload a song that i sang with Azgar khan (he was kind enough to send me one or two songs i sang with him since i've lost my laptop) BUT, at that time i was not even a student of music but a fan of singing ..

let me share you the history behind this song............Azgar kept this karaoke that i got from someone for almost a year, and he was not ready to sing this song.........he was too shy to sing it caoz of all those Shaadi suggestions ......................finally, he took the plunge and sang it.....and it turn out to be our best among 50 songs Azgar? how many weird duets do we have? .......i like that one ,a rafi and lata duet, by the way send me that one please, i forgot the lines for that song..



and for Chai, u gotta come to calgary..........besides, be ready to taste Afghani chai, it's not like Indian or pakistani chai............no milk, no cream, no sugar............plain tea with nuts and chocolates

I checked we sang 51 duets to be precise. I didnt realize it crossed 50.
Most of them were sung before I got the sound card, so my voice was kinda crappy with that voicemask software thing. It makes me laugh, how we spent hours trying to add the echo, lol.
