I will be posting 18 songs by Iqbal Bano from 1950s films.
Unfortunately most of these have jhankar (remxing) in them. But the songs are so pretty and with the right tuning the jhankar effect can be minimized.
All the Iqbal Bano songs have classical core. So if some classical music connoisseur could name the foundation raags, it would be nice.

Wow, wonderful uploads Asheik Sahab! Though I simply hate 'Jhankar' versions, but Iqbal Bano is my favorite singer. Looking forward to rest of the songs.

I have the original versions (without Jhankar) of Ho Chuka Intezar sone de and Payal Mein Geet hain Chham Chaam kai. I have uploaded the Video Version (ripped from VCD) of Payal mein geet hain chham chham kai, I will upload the other song soon if I get time.

Getting these without jhankar would be awesome.

Iqbal Bano is one of favourite singers. I've only a few songs--very popular ones with me. I am waiting for the remaining uploads.

The MD of Murad was Safdar Hussain. His other compositions known to me are Hameeda, Ishq-e-Laila, Shab-e-Khair and Nagin.

These are great uploads - but like Inaam bhai, I hate the 'jhankar' they add. It really irritates me that they have the original soundtrack available and then they release it with the jhankar.

I loathe jhankar as much but had no choice.
