mount rushmore national memorial is located southwest of Rapid City, South Dakota. The granite faces of 4 american presidents ower 5,500 feet above sea level.the 4 presidents are George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ted Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.

New Jersey is always my favorite state. I t is close to New York City and Washington D.C. There is so much diversity here. This state is also known as garden state. Princeton University is in Princeton, N.J. I am going to post some photos of New Jersey. N.J. has lots of shore points and light houses. Cape May is one of the poins. It has very colorful houses that have been converted into bea and breakfast inns.

spoonbridge and cherry sculpture is in minneapolis, minnesota. This sculpture is sculpted by Claes Oldenburg and his wife Coosje Van Bruggen. Claes is known for his ingenious, oversized renditions of ordinary objects.This 5800 pounds spoon and 1200 pounds cherry was carried out at 2 ship building yards in New England.

hindu temple in golkonda fort, hyderabad.
This hindu temple belonging to kakatiya period is carved out of a huge boulder. It has colorful murals of Goddess Kali on the white painted facade.

Scotland is known for beautiful castles. Glamis castle is known as one of the most haunted castle in Britain. It is the historic seat of the Bowes-Lyons family. The land was presented to themas a gift by Robert the Bruce in 1372, and they still own the castle. The Queen Mother was born here.

The waving girl statue honors Florence Margaret Martus. She was famous in the early 1900s for waving to all shipping traffic sailing into and out of savannah. waving 40 years at passing ships, the legend contends she was trying to locate the love of her life who was a sailor.

if you like castles, you should wisit portugal. they have many ancient castles, or castilo's as they say

but they are often not built by kings etc. they are bulit as protection rather than luxury. And yes I have been to scotland...

Death Valley National Park is 3000sq miles in area. floor of the valley is almost 300ft below sea level at badland basin. It is the lowest point in USA. Top of the peak is 11,049ft. Summers are extremely hot. The desert has streaming sand dunes, snow capped mountains, multi colored rock layers,and fluted water canyons. The Scotty's castle , built by aChicago business man but used by his cowboy mining partner Scotty.

This 60ft high painted fiberglass and stainless steel outdoor sculpture represents a bow and arrow shooting straight down into the silver of pedestrian park that borders the Embarcadero. The sculptors are Claes Oldenburg and Coosje Von Bruggen.

During my visit to San Francisco, I bumped into this Gandhi statue. I was happy that city of San Francisco honored Mahatma Gandhi by putting the statue, but sad to see it in an isolated place behind the ferry terminal parking overlooking the bay bridge.

streets of manhattan borough, new york city.
It is fun to walk in manhattan. Started at 10 in the moning with a camera , walked 60 streets and 2 avenues, got back to penn station by 3 to catch a train to new jersey. Walking alone is more fun.At times people warned me not to take photos because the police might suspect me. I am going to post some photos of manhattan
this mini statue of liberty can be seen in front of many stores.shows proud to be american.

My youngest son was chosen to go to summit station, Greenland on a project. Summit station is at the peak of the Greenland ice cap. It is the home of the Greenland environmental observatory.
Kanger Lussuaq is located at the head of the fjored. It was a former U.S.Air base. Posting some photos of summit and kanger lussuaq.
Photos were taken mid July.

Moncton is the 2nd largest city in New Brunswick, Canada. One of the main features of Moncton is its magnetic hill where cars roll uphill. It is just an optical illusion created by local topography. The big magnet is situated there.

Our family visit to las vegas was fun. We lost some money, but the best part was to walk along the 4 mile strip. The strip is always lively. Many of the largest hotels and casinos are located on the strip. I am going to upload only a few photos.
