Yes, I have read that there was duet of Lata and Madan recorded for Shaheed. However the co-owner of Filmistan, Rai Bahadur Chunilal Kohli (Madan's father), was so infuriated that his noor-e-chashm has worked as an ordinary employee and sang a song for a movie being made by his company that he got the song removed from the movie. Poor Lata suffered in the bargain. Of course the haughty father could not eventually prevent his son from entering the same profession, as a music director. And thank God for that.

It would be nice if someone can locate this song and upload.
