I took up SAP FI/CO course in SIEMENS. Its a 5 weeks course with certification directly from SAP AG.
I wanted to share my experiences in this thread and would like feedback from other HF members who did this course or might be doing it.
Its a 5 weeks course and I am in the 3rd week. You need to have a strong background in Finance industry to do this course and IT experience is a plus. The fees structure is around 2,60,000 INR (6,000 US dollars Approx). The final exam is online by SAP Germany, you need to get atleast 70% to pass the exam. Once you get through this exam you recieve a certificate from SAP Germany with a global certificate number.
I suggest anyone who has immense knowledge in finance industry to take up this course or else you wont understand a bit. Most of my classmates are Chartered Accountants and I am the only one with MBA Finance background.
Its a very tough course and it takes you atleast 2 weeks to understand the flow. Once you get the flow, no one can stop ya.
The demand of SAP is immense in India/USA and western countries.
If anyone else on HF is into SAP, they can write here. I am very keen to know about SAP BASIS. Any feedbacks?

Thanks Marc Bhai, I passed the exam with 88% and I fell in love with this subject. I took up Asset Management which is an addition to FI/CO. I will be done with that too in 2 weeks.
For those who are looking for SAP material in all the modules, www.sapsuperusers.com has all the SAP AG material available in PDF format. Its the best site for SAP advance functional/technical consultants.
I am gonna sleep for a week afterrrrrrrrr Asset Management.
I hardly came online during the past 1 and half months.

sonu,
Mainframe is going to be in demand. With baby boomer retiring, IBM will be looking for people to support mainframe systems. It's not latest cutting edge tech but pays really well. Imagine if you and only you knew how to drive that 1919 Ford. other being Milkh singh who no more wanted to drive that, would you care if its old. Mind that it will pay more to drive that than merc.

Yes, there will be demand. But then it depends on what you like and what you do not like. If you are interested then yes go for it.

Even I thought of doing FICO but I changed my mind.ABAP is the mother of all.We have Authentic Institute of SAP in Delhi, but the problem is that they don't allow you to practise after the classes.

I will surely do SAP after my MBA.Inshallaha
