It would be greatly appreciated if our members do not upload tracks after converting them from say, 16kbps to 192kbps.

Such conversion does not improve the sound quality. It only bloats the file-size.

These uploads waste server space/bandwidth. Moreover, it is unfair to members who have bandwith problems to induce them to download these tracks in the hope of obtaining the song in better quality.

128kbps is generally accepted as CDQ, but the sound-quality will also depend on the source track. If you've obtained the track in less than 128, please upload it with the same bit-rate. Members would still be grateful for your upload. We fully understand that in the case of rare songs, we really cannot hope for CDQ.
