Hi all,
I believe Madam Noor Jehan was at her best in 60s. I just want to share some gems from my collection, with all of you. I am specially starting this thread for Ummer as he always request for her songs of 60s.

Here is the first gem, Gaein Hawaein, Jhoomein Fizaaein , It is from ‘Aelaan’ (1967), Music composed by Master Inayat Hussain. He was one of the best music directors of Pakistan. He didn’t work a lot with Noor Jehan, lekin donon ka aik saath jitna bhi kaam hai, almost sab ka sab be-misaal hai.

Uploading another gem ‘Saajanwa aisey khoey’ from ‘Faryaad’. I am sure it will be new for you all. I don’t have any information about the film. It’s definitely a 60s movie. If anyone have any information about this movie, please post.

Tera intezaar is also a sweet song. Not an easy tune actually tho it sounds so simple. Madam carries it off with ease as usual.

Sajanwa aise is a beauty. Falling in love with it. Wonder why none of these songs are released on collections. They just recysle the same 50 odd songs.

The 2 solos from "Aelaan" are absolutely beautiful. I like her voice
and singing in "GaayeN hawaayeN" more, but the tune of the other
song is superb. Thanx Inaam.

I agree with Sangeet Bhakt. Among the songs uploaded by you yesterday, my fav is "GaayeN hawaayeN"

Thanks a lot for these songs Inaam bhai, it's the first time I am hearing them. Not sure which is one is my favourite yet, they all have qualities I like, I'll have to listen to them some more. I'll see if I can get some information on Fariyaad.

Downloaded them on my Dad's comp but he had no blank cd. So gotta take one there next time and burn.

Hi Priya,

You should already have this song in the CD's I sent you - check CD1, From CD and the Greatest Hits of Noor Jehan - it's track 15 called Bain Kare Mera Pyar.

Anyway how is everyone, I've not been around much these days, once again the busy period has started at work, I also had my sister-in-law and her family come to visit. Hopefully should be free-er next week to start contributing again.
