Full Version: Kya Mausam Hai (doosra Aadmi)

For me, this song ranks as the greatest Kishore/Lata/Rafi song ever. Rajesh Roshan is a very talented music director and he created a masterpiece with this song from Yash Chopra's Doosra Aadmi (1977).

The music is amazing and RR used what I think is a bit of electonic rhythm in this song as well as made excellent use of different instruments.

This song is a great example of a change in moods. Rishi Kapoor reminds Rakhi of Shashi Kapoor (her husband who has passed away), the song starts off slowly with Kishore & Lata, picks up a bit of tempo, again maintains a medium pace then hits a high tempo with Rafi's entrance in which Rakhi is imagining Shashi Kapoor is singing to her, before the songs calms down again and Lata & Kishore take over and finish it.

All three singers sang their parts equally well, but my favourite part is Rafi's entry. He totally changes the whole song when he comes in. It may not have been alot to sing but it sure left an impact.

Kya Mausam Hai
Film: Doosra Aadmi
Music: Rajesh Roshan
Year: 1977
Lyrics: Majrooh Sultanpuri

Kishore: Hmm mm mm
Lata: Oooooooo
Kishore: Hmm mm mm

Kishore:Kya Mausam Hai
Lata: Aaaaa Aaaaaaaa
Kishore: Aye Deewane Dil
Are Chal Kahin Door Nikal Jaaye
Lata: Aaaaaaaaaa
Kishore: Chal Kahin Door Nikal Jaaye
Kishore: Koi Humdum Hai
Lata: Aaaaaaaaaa
Kishore: Chahat Ke Kaabil
To Kisliye Hum Sambhal Jaaye
Lata: Aaaaaaaaaa
Kishore: Chal Kahin Door Nikal Jaaye

Lata: Jhoom Ke Jab Jab Kabhi Do Dil Gaate Hain
Chaar Kadam Chalte Hain Phir Kho Jaate Hain
Kishore: He He He He Aisa Hai To Kho Jaane Do Mujhko Bhi Aaj

Kishore:Yeh Kya Kam Hai
Lata: Aaaaaaaaa
Kishore: Do Pal Ko Raahi
Are Mil Jaaye Bahel Jaaye
Lata: Aaaaaaaaa
Kishore: Chal Kahin Door Nikal Jaaye

Rafi: Yeh Mastiyaan Yeh Bahaar
Dil Ho Chala Beqaraar
Main Girta Hoon Mujhe Thaam Lo
Bheege Labon Se Mera Naam Lo

Lata: Duniya Ko Ab Do Nazar Kyon Aaye Hum
Itne Kareeb Aao Ke Ik Ho Jaaye Hum
Lata & Rafi: Ke Ik Ho Jaaye Hum Ke Ik Ho Jaaye Hum
Rafi: Ke Ik Ho Jaaye....

Lata: Hmmmm
Khoye Se Hum
Koyi Si Manzil
Acha Hai Sambhal Jaaye

Kishore: Chal Kahin Door Nikal Jaaye
Lata: Oooooooo
Acha Hai Sambhal Jaaye
Kishore: Chal Kahin Door Nikal Jaaye
Lata: Oooooooo
Acha Hai Sambhal Jaaye

RAFI SAHAB's late entry has always been great.Just feel the impetus how RAFI SAHAB changed the mood and mesmerises as a late comer.

As of now i am thinking of two more songs:

CHURA LIYA HAI(yaadon ki baraat)

CHALA BHI AA AAAJA RASIYAA(mann ki aankh)

Very true HR bhai, Rafi often stole the show with his late entry, be it in duets or three/four-singer songs. Add to this, in many of these songs the music also changes, making way for his entry.

Another song in this category, "Chana Jor Garam...." from Kranti.

Prince another such example of change of moods is from Parwana..

Yun na sharma ...
