each of 5 mb/less.

Please download all files into one folder, then extract one file. All the other files will extract automatically,
and form 29 separate files of voice/music/song recordings:

I could download all the 11 parts and extract all the 29 files. There wasnt any problem. Could you specifiy what was the error message ?

(I missed the beginning of the program in original broadcast also. ) I am glade that I can hear it fully now.

So U used to go to Ceylon to listen to Radio Ceylon????

Finally would be able to hear the program , though I know it would have been more fun as the listening to the live one.....

Vikram, agla program is Unni's on Saturday 11 PM IST. Some lovely music lined up. Theme is LOVE!!!

Then sometime in the near future an Asha program is planned. Uske baad another Madam NJ one. Fingers crossed.

..i will keep an eye on Scheduled HF programs...to not to miss that ...

A question about recording quality of these songs.

While listening to the program on HF Radio, it seemed that the songs did not have crisp clear sound. Is it because
1. They were ripped from tapes/LPs so the source was not in very good condition
2. The record companies did not make good quality CDs
3. The original recordings were not in excellent sound quality.
4. My ears are faulty. (since someone is going to mention this anyway )

5. Due to priyas poor connection they could not be sent as they are big files when in proper audio quality...rather than 24ks mono mp3..

Due to the first three reasons.

Your ears must be just fine!


There was no need for the songs to be sent. Already had them on CDs.

NMji it is rather hard to find Madam's old songs in good audio quality. Most of the cds that are released are with jhankar or some other kind of music like revival. The original recordings can only be retrieved from tapes and lps. Even the few untampered cds that do make it to the market often are of poor quality.
Of course there are exceptions.

Ya, of course all the songs I ul on HF are in 24 kbs mono!

Thanks so much for uploading the show - I missed it both times because work has been an absolute nightmare these days and I am rarely home before midnight !! Hopefully things should ease off by the end of next week (or I will collapse !)

I will listen to the programme over the weekend (If I don't have to be in work!).

I have a pretty fast connection and I think I have some (if not all) of the songs in good quality - I will have to check the list that you sent Priya (in fact you would know if I have i them or not as you have my entire collection now) so I will upload them as required.
