Here's one from my collection. Not sure if this qualifies as rare - "don ghadichaa Daav" from the movie Ram Shastri. It was sung by Anant Marathe & Manju.

Amrutahuni god naam tujhe devaa (1960) was based on the raag Bhimpalasi and had music by Baal Mate and it is an abhang by Sant Naamdeo.

Yes, you can all request several songs from your wishlists - Well I do have a good collection of Marathi songs. But many remain on the vinyl tapes still. Unless somebody helps, you will have to wait a little for 'Khedyamadhle ghar kaularu'

Don prashNa:
1- Who gave the music for MaaNus??? 1939 is pretty early. So it must have been
before Shantaram started to collaborate with Vasant Desai.
2- What does "hamkhaas" mean? Ha shabda mala maahit naahi.

The film Maanus (1939) had music by Master Krishnarao a classical vocalist, who had over 4000 classical mehefils in the country - a record figure in those days. He had also composed music of several Marathi plays like Ekach Pyala, Kanhopatra, Kulwadhu etc. He composed music of several Prabhat films like Gopal Krishna, Keechakwadh. The latter film had Vasant Desai as assistant Music Director.

Many of the Prabhat films appeared also in Hindi.

Here's a song from the movie Mahananda (it has the famous "Maajhe raani maajhe mogaa" number)
This one is a lesser known song - "Tujhiya ge charaneecha". Composed by Hridaynath Mangeshkar and sung quite beautifully by Shaunak Abhisheki (the son of Jitendra Abhisheki).
Since it has a strong touch of classical music to it, I guess Anil can help us identify the raag....
