I remember the song in subject was discussed on SKS a few days back...
Ek chidiya, anek chidiya was basically a NFDC documentary titled "Ek Anek aur Ekta" which was directed by Vijaya Mule while Animation direction was the work of Bhimsen (director of Gharonda, later directed a serial on TV featuring Arvind and Sulabha Deshpande (on Andhvishwas)..cant recall the name)
A composition of Vasant Desai .. plain and simple... and very effective...

Yes Aahat....You are Spot On!!!! Its the very same music director Shri Vasant Desai, who also scored music for some really great films (Do aankhen Barah Haath; Goonj Uthi Shehnaai; Guddi and quite a few other films.....all great music) It was really a pity that the music world lost him at a very early age to a tragic Lift Accident in his building, a really unfortunate death that took him away from us......I'm sure you loved this 'Ek Anek' composed by him for sure.......
