This song was uled in video format a few weeks ago on the forum (thx to the person who uled it!). A lovely Waheeda Rehman sings away in a B&W garden. The music is smashing, too.

Unfortunately the soundtrack with the clip has a metallic echo. Anyone have the song in CDQ?

I'd read what must have been a rare interview with Hemant-da's wife. She was asked, "Which is your favourite song among the compostions of your husband"? In reply to which she cited a song recorded for "SAHIB BIWI AUR GHULAM" in the voice of Asha Bhosle and not included in the movie.

Would you know something about this? Wonder if the track is available somewhere.

I can ask my mother's friend to ask Bela Mukherjee.....If i was in Cal, I would have done it myself now !!

Wow this is the first I am hearing of such a song. U do not remember the first line at all? Must find out about it. The VN book has no foot notes about it.
