hi all

on request of Prasad ji in KK forum, i am u/l this song by asha having the stanza

' jane kaise anjane hi
aan basa koi pyase man me
apna sab kuch kho baithe hum
pagal man ke pagalpan me
dil ke afsaane
main janu tu jane
aur ye jane koi na

tere bhi kya jina

o saathi re...."

this isn't in KK's version.

I have a copy of this song from the KK forum. For some reason the song in this forum is not extracting properly. There was no problem with the song in KK's forum. Request you to please check.

It is not picturized on Master Mayur but on one of the other 2 child artists.
Either Baby Shaalu or Baby Rani. It is sung by the character who will grow
up to be Rakhee.
It is my theory (which means I have no facts to back this up) that Asha was
not told that this was being picturized on a child. The style is that of a grown
woman. In fact, in the film, they say that the song used to be sung by the
child's mother (since deceased). I would guess that they were originally
going to picturize it on the mother as a flashback scene.
Asha is usually very very good about adjusting her style for the person that
she is doing the play-back for (best e.g. is "Tu rooTha to mai ro dooNgi
sanam" in "Jawaani").
