Now Pulkit has got me really confused with this resung version stuff.
I am sure the one I have on cd is also a later version. Does not sound like a film version to me.

This song has often been uled on coolgoose. Dunno what version that is. Never knew there were 2 versions and anyway coolgoose does not let me dl. Now they have removed most of their songs but U could still try checking there.

the version mohterma priya has uploaded is different

This song is from film "Att Kuda Da Wair" (1970). Music by Bakhshi Wazir, Lyrics by Tanvir Naqvi. It is picturized on Naghma & Habib. (not Firidous and Eijaz as Ummer guess).

I agree with Ummer, the original version is much sweeter. I have it on audio cassett. Will upload soon.

Sorry guyz! I am human too! I make mistakes too! lol! I have seen this song like 10 years ago on PTV in the program named Sur Tasveer. I think i am mixing up the picturization with some other Ejaz Firdous song. Sorry Priya!

BTW What do you think about Eijaz? I am not aware ke tum ne uski koi film dekhi hai ya nahiin but for your information, he was an extremely handsome actor of Pak film industry. I recently saw a movie of him and noticed that he was a good actor too.
I have a very interesting article about the love story of Madam & Eijaz. The article was written by a close friend of Eijaz. He mentioned Eijaz was a very shy and seedha saada type of person. Madam usko dekhtay hi fida ho gaein kyonke He was very good-looking and charming.

A two-timer is one who has relations with 2-3 people at the same time!!!!! Even when Ejaz was lattu abt her she was involved with others.

Sorry it was Akmal who was Firdous first lover . I was reading in some magazine that there were rumors that Akmal was killed by Firdous family members. Akmal was very famous hero of punjabi films, both Akmal and Firdous made very sucessful pair before his untimely death.

Firdous is alive --- She acted in some films in late 80s/early 90s as a character actress, I think she retired from the show business. Firdou’s son was married with Nisho’s daughter.

Ok – Some more facts about Firdous. (Priya will kill me )
In the beginning of her carrier, She was a flop actress, her climb to fame began when a song of Madam Noor Jehan picturized on her. Film was ‘Malangi’, The song “Maahi ve saanu bhil na jaavein” was a instant hit, and Firdous became a famous actress. It was the only song sung by Madam in “Malangi”.

She married actor Akmal and owned 'Firdous market' near Gulberg, Lahore. In times due course, Firdous withdraw her favour and took divorce from Akmal and married filmmaker, sheikh Nazeer Husain. Akmal could not endure the tragic separation and died a little later in 1967.

It is also said that she was a drunkard. Once she caught by the police in objectionable condition with Shahid in a graveyard of Lahore. They both were dead drunk.

(I hope Priya grow very happy to read these disclosures ).

PS: Nisho was a top heroin of Urdu films in 70s.

I never imagined that this thread is going to take such twists and turns. Anyhow, since the issue has become so crucial that each member must spell out his/her loyalities, here I'm. I'm obviously a die-hard Noor Jehan fan and admire and respect her both as a singer and as a human being. And I also liked Firdaus's performance in Heer Ranjha, she indeed gave a great performance. However, guys, lets have a human rather than superhuman outlook and move beyond dichotomies of saints vs. sinners. I guess that each human being has good and bad points, even seers and sages could not always resist passion, and Firdaus did not have a good background as such, so in sinning she was also being human. Secondly, in triangulated relationships, all three parties are responsible to some extent- thus, I don't understand that how can we go about blaming Firdaus without blaming Ejaz. With due respect to Noorjehan, I believe that she was also a human being and must have had her own set of weak points which could have had a role to play in the breaking up of her marriage. However, that does not mean that we should stop liking Noor Jehan- we obviously are thankful to her for so many wonderful songs that are a crucial part of our life, but lets give her a break too- let her be a great human being and not a great goddess.

I am not villifying Firdous (do not need to do that ) or deifying Madam!!! People's personal lives are their own and I am leat concerned with that!!!! Haan someone hurting Madam and celebrating her death does affect me and I have no problems admitting that!!!!

Are you sure about that? Nisho's daughter Sahiba (heroine of the 90s) is married to Afzal (The John Rambo guy ), side hero of Pakistani films. I dont think he is Firdous son. Unless ofocurse Nisho had some other daughter ...

I know Sahiba was married with Afzal Rambo --- I guess this is other daughter of Nisho but I am not sure about it. My source was an article about Firdous I found on net (I can post Agar Priya Ijaazat de tou ). I have one more detailed article about Firdous (in Urdu), the author mentioned about the marriege of Firdous's son with Nisho's daughter.
