I have a feeling that these non-film songs are either from the late fifties or early sixties. Most of her Gujrati film songs are from the era from 1948 till 1953 latest. In this particular song her voice of course does not have the young charm of "Taaliyon naa taale" or "Bhabhee tame thoda thoda". Still her voice keeps haunting me..

Once again many thanks for sharing. The song rekindled my childhood memories when every song of hers (irrespective of the language) used to bring fountains of joy in my heart.

Based on the information from Gujrati Film Geet Kosh (compiled by Shri Harish Raghuvanshi ji), there is confirmed information that Geeta ji has sung about 80 odd songs for Gujrati films. (I will be in touch with my friend Chetan to get the exact number and the complete list soon). Apart from these, she might have sung about 20 odd non-film songs in Gujrati. That makes her output to over 100 songs in Gujrati. We can listen to about 25 of these songs so far.

A kind request to all to share her Gujrati songs.

I have come across a 78 rpm record of Geeta Dutt singing in Gujrati.
I picked it up for you specially.

From this topic and your website (geetadutt dot com)I have identified one song as:

O Maajham Raat Ni Taarali - Gunsundari

The other song should be also from the same movie, but after hearing it, it doesnt seem to match any of the other three from Gunsundari, at least not to me.

The label on the record is really worn out so cannot read it.

I can upload this or both, of course.
