I think this song is sung by Surinder Kaur who beat out Lata Mangeshkar for that film.

the singers in the film shaheed [1948] were geeta roy,mohd. rafi,khan mastana,surinder kaur and lalita deolker.geetaji has sung in two other ghulam haider films also-padmini and majboor[both 1948]
one song in the voice of lataji and madanmohan[md] was also recorded;but it was not kept in the film.
regarding geetaji's first film bhakta prahlad[1946],she sang few lines in two bhajans
-
1]-suno suno binti hamari prabhuji bhool hui mujhse bhari[record-GE 3635],
2]-ab jani re,pahchani re mana[GE 3635/36].
the songs are available with few collectors.shah music centre,delhi has the first song.the current price is rs. 1000/-!!!
