(Jeetendra) Singhasan (1986)
Telugu actor Krishna made several Hindi films using almost same technical unit in his productions. The actors invariably included Jeetendra, Amjad Khan, Kader Khan and Shakti Kapoor. The actresses were either Sridevi or Jayaprada or both. The dialogues were always written by Kader Khan. The lyrics were always written by Indeewar. Music was generally composed by Bappi Lahiri. He stuck to this same formula for many movies he made under his Padmalaya Films banner. Krishna made these films based on Telugu hits. However, for this one film, he decided to make this movie simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. He also wrote the story, the screenplay, and edited the movie. Besides producing it he also directed the film. The only difference was that Hindi had Jeetendra in the lead whereas in Telugu Krishna himself was the hero. The movie became a hit in Telugu whereas was able to do less than average business in Hindi. I am uploading this typical Bappi fare in two back-to-back posts. Here is the first set of the songs... (Dharmendra) Sunny (1984)
After their successful debut the previous year with "Betaab", Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh were paired again for the second time. It was also a second movie for each one of them. Repeating the formula of "Betaab", the producers retained the services of RD for music direction and Anand Bakshi for lyrics for this Raj Khosla directed venture. I am uploading songs form this fine album in two back-to-back posts. Interestingly, the beautiful song "Jaane Kya Baat Hai" by Lata was based on RD's own tune in Bengali. It was the song "Chokhe Name Brishti" sung by Asha for a non-filmi album. (I am including this song here.) For some curious reason, RD had here Lata sing the song based on the same tune. Asha, many years later paying tribute to RD, sang the Hindi version herself. I am also including this version song here. It is taken from her album, "Asha Reveals Real R.D. Burman (Disc 1)". (Dharmendra) Teen Moorti (1984) - A Bengali Film
Pramod Chakraborty produced and directed this film simultaneously in Bengali and Hindi. Both were released in 1984 with just about using the same star cast. The Hindi film was called "Jaagir". The Hindi film songs were uploaded in this thread recently.
