Dear friends on the Tamil forum of HF,

I have been on HF for the last couple of months. I do not understand even a bit of Tamil , my mother tongue is Konkani.I sometimes watch the movie songs on Sun TV and other Tamil channels and I like many of those songs. I do not understand the wordings but can certainly appreciate the music as it has no language barrier.

I have been wanting to listen to a particular duet song. It is most probably sung by S. P. Balasubramaniam and I am not aware of the female singer. The wordings which I can gather after careful listening are..

Oru vanda ratu vandaman veerama.... (Please pardon me if I have murdered the meaning of the song).

From the net, I found that the male actor in the song is Kaarthik. That's all the info I can give.

Can anyone please identify this song and upload it ?

Many thanks in advance.

Paresh

Thanks Nimiiji for your response. I had seen this song on the Tamil Channel Sun TV. I identified the actor by from his pics on some Tamil movies site. It is a very melodious song . The tune is all there in my mind but the wordings ????. It looks like a dream sequence song wherein the actor and actress are shown to be a king and queen doing romance in a beautiful countyside setting and I remember the song ends with the camera on a hen(or may be a cock). The actress looks beautiful but is a bit plump.

Thanks once again.

Thanks again Nimiiji for your response and that beautiful pic. I know this actress from the beautiful Kannada song "Priya Priya " with Vishnu Vardhan. Unfortunately, she is not the one in the song I am looking for. I am sending you a PM regarding this. I think you will be able to identify it for me after you read the PM.
I used the net only to identify the actor, I don't have any song link.

Thanks indeed.
Paresh.

I found yet another amazingly great music lover on HF. Pleasantly surprised for the Konkani expression too! Any connection with Goa or Mangalore ?

The audio quality is fine for me.
THANK YOU NIMIIJI . You made my day. Is there a way to get a translation anywhere on the net?
AND Hats off to Illayaraja!!!!

A highly obliged friend,

Paresh (if you dont mind my dropping that ji, and hope you too would!). I must actually thank you for it, for if it wasnt for your search for this song, which I cant even remember tho' I have seen the movie long long ago, I dont think I would have been exposed to it.

The thrill of locating an unknown evading song with very little cue is very very satiating to a quest-ing mind.

Thanks again pal for giving me a chance to know yet another great song scored by Illayaraja - my fav MD wub.gif

It is mutual indeed Paresh! I am still on the lookout for that song by Suresh Wadkar and Hemalata, the clip of which you had u/l on another thread! It has to be from one of the Rajshri films releases. blink.gif That one has been really very elusive! mad.gif

Thank you for being so supportive regarding my hunt for lost songs. That one by Suresh Wadkar and Hemlata is eluding me for so many years, but I am very hopeful that one of these days it will be found. The problem is I am totally clueless except that it has the typical RJ imprint on it.In the meanwhile, I got the following list of movies with RJ as MD from another site.

Kaanch Aur Heera
Saudagar
Haathi Ke Daant
Chor Machaye Shor
Shatranj Ke Mohre
Do Jasoos
Ek Gaon Ki Kahani
Get Gata Chal
Salakhen

Deewangi
Fakeera
Raieeszada

Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye
Kotwal Sahab
Maha Badmash
Paheli
Ram Bharose
Safed Haathi
Shyam Tere Kitne Naam
Solah Shukrawar
Ankhiyon Ke Jharokon Se
Atyachar
Ganga Saagar
Hamara Sansaar
Madhu Malti
Mera Rakshak
Pati, Patni Aur Woh
Prem Bandhan

Aakhiri Kasam
Aatish
Ghar Ki Laaj
Gopal Krishna
Ham Tere Aashiq Hain
