Anyways, this whole thing about copy/inspiration is a subject of endless debate. Nevertheless, just this afternoon, my daughter was playing one song as part of her piano practice which is ditto "kaho na pyar hai (dil ne...dil ko pukara..lo mein aaya... part)". Pranav |

I also remembered a song 'Pyar Ki Yaad Nigahon Mein Sajaey Rakhna' (MD RD Burman) that has been copied from a Pakistani song, sung by Nahid Akhtar (MD Nisar Bazmi).

Did not know RDB was inspired by Pakistani music too. For that matter such a huge percentage of Pakistani songs have been copied in Indian films. As someone once mentioned Indian films being popular in Pakistan it is less easy for the Mds there to copy from Hindi songs and get away with it. Nadeem Shravan seem to have lived off Pakistani stuff. |

I still remember the picturization of this song --- it was a kind of Qawali or Mujra.
