'Naata' was a S.Mohinder score in which that genial Sardarji gave us four of Lata's most mesmerising solos of all time, each a rival to his own "Guzra hua zamana aata nahin dobara" from 'Shirin Farhad' - "Sun sakhi ri tera jal chuka aashiyaan", "Mat samjho neer bahaati hoon", "Is bewafa jahaan ka dastoor hai purana" and "Dekhte dekhte jal gaya aashiyaan". Unfortunately, I have only "Is bewafa jahan ka" on my system, which I post, here, alongside two other vintage 'Naata' ditties:

(3:15/128 kbps) (Lata/Shamshad/Rafi/S.Balbir)

(3:02/128 kbps) (Rafi/S.D.Batish)

(3:09/50 kbps) (Lata)

Inviting all to contribute these other 'Naata' numbers"

(1) Sun sakhi ri tera jal chuka aashiyaan - Lata
(2) Mat samjho neer bahaati hoon - Lata
(3) Suno suno ek nayi kahani - Rafi
(4) More salone kanha gaana murli pe woh gaana - Lata & Sudha Malhotra
(5) Jawani jhoolti hai aashiqui jhoola jhulaati hai - Lata
(6) Ghir ghir chhayi mast ghataayen - lata & Sudha Malhotra
(7) Lagan lagi hai sajan milan ki - Lata
(8) Dekhte dekhte jal gaya aashiyaan - Lata

Song #7 -- courtesy of HF (I think)

Lata - Lagan Lagi Hai Sajan Milan Ki - Naata (1955) - S S Mohinder - Tanveer Naqvi

File info: 3:04 min @ 32 Kbps CBR (wma file -- perhaps equal to 56 kbps mp3). Would really appreciate a higher quality of this song.

Actual high quality version of this song was once played on the Radio.

This is an awesome awesome song -- been my favourite for the last few months.

Uploading filmi-version of this song at:
