Dear Taiyab, The information I had was that the lyricist is Kulwant Jani. However, I could easily be wrong. May be someone who has access to the Geet Kosh can give proper credit. Cheers, S Song 1, 3, and 4 are Anand Bakshi. 5 is Kulwant Jani. 2 I don't know. Source Asha & Rafi geet kosh. Viraj |

Can some one re-post this album of Chitragupt. Thanks a lot & much appreciated.
(Raaj) Oonche Log (1965) This is one of the finer albums of Chitraguptji. Standout song of the album is "Haaye Re". While both versions are good, Lataji's solo is melodiously beautiful. This movie was based on a stage play written by Balachander, who became one the prolific and successful directors of Tamil films. He is the one who directed Prasad's "Ek Duuje Ke Liye" in 1981. I am uploading these songs below on request... 90 to 2050 music fan

As far as the rest of the albums you requested, I do have most of them. However, it will take some time for me to upload them. If you can prioritize your list, I will upload them in the order you have selected, one at a time with some gap in between, as time permits. If this is fine with you, let me know. Cheers, S |

Thanks a lot for re-uploading these splendid tracks. Actually I have lately been attracted to the compositions of Chitragupt-ji. I think he was not really promoted & should have got due credits for his contributions to Bollywood music. It would really be a nice gesture if you could slowly re-upload / release the films of this legend. I have lately heard his song, 'Bhagwan Tujhe Main Khat Likhta" from Manchala & I was stunned literally. Its an awesome haunting devotional melody. Can you please upload "Manchala" in fairly good quality if you have. Much appreciated for your contributions to this section.

Cheers, S I'm quite comfortable with your convenience in re-uploading my requests in whatever ways you feel is right for you. I have newly began to fall for Chitragupt-jis compositions. So I have nothing in my stock & actually starting from scratch compiling the entire discography of Chitragupt-ji. It would be very kind of you if you slowly re-upload his songs in order of your own preference. I'm trying to frame the entire discography. Could you help me in this regard with a ready made list if you have them. Meanwhile I need the tracks of Manchala (1953) & Do Shikari (1979) to begin with. 90 to 2050 music fan

QUOTE So I have nothing in my stock & actually starting from scratch compiling the entire discography of Chitragupt-ji check here http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?showtopic=53765 I also think he is underrated and his songs (barring the famous ones) are hard to get considering he gave music in many B grade films. Probably AM will have stock of those missing songs somewhere. I have partial or some songs from these films. Probably we should discuss him in the above link so Swarapriya's thread is not disrupted This post has been edited by Sangeet: Jul 17 2012, 06:50 AM Sangeet

I think it would be great to have this discussed in the thread you have suggested as my Chitraguptji's collection is meager at best. Thanks again. Cheers, S |

Meanwhile can you please share Manchala (1953) & Do Shikaari (1979) in the above mentioned thread of Chitragupt-ji. I'm shifting to that thread from henceforth. Meanwhile I will prepare the Discography of Chitragupt in order of year & post there for reference. As usual, your help will be utmost required in compiling the entire Chitragupt series. 90 to 2050 music fan

(Dharmendra) Saveray Wali Gaadi (1986)
Here is a beautiful album from RD and Majrooh Saab. Especially the song "Binn Paayal" is an absoulte lovely. Suresh Wadkar is really at his best the way he sang this song. Here is this and other fine songs from this film from an original soundtrack album... Attached image(s) |
