I cant seem to find the thread where the song

Tu Jahan mile mujhe wahi mere dono jahan from the Movie Doosri Sita was uploaded.

I came across this song with an additional antara (para) as follows:

Palkon ki chav tale
kehte hain ye log
bhale jab koi hota nahin aao mil jayw gale
Tu hain to sab hain yaha re

Request upload of this version should members have it

thanks

Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water.

Now you have really caught my attention. I am very fond of this song and have even
seen the film, but cannot recall this extra verse. Should see if I recorded the song from
the film years back when I saw it. Maybe it is there. Now, finding that recording is
going to be a herculean task since they are all on tapes and not tagged sad1.gif
Even the record version of the song that I have has 2 verses.

This film has a Nitin Mukesh version of this song, but the lyrics do not match what you
have stated in this post. Also, I am guessing you are saying that you have heard the
3 verse version by Asha. I will keep looking.

This film also had 2 other lovely songs, "Din jaa rahe haiN" by Lata and the LOVELY
lori "Aaye re aaye re nanhe munne raaja ko nindiya sula" by Asha. I am extremely
fond of both songs.

For me, singing sad songs often has a way of healing a situation. It gets the hurt out in the open into the light, out of the darkness.

Thanks Debopriyo. Can you also post the Nitin Mukesh version of this song in the appropriate forum, if you have it?

Yes, SB, the song by Nitin Mukesh also has only two stanzas... The other two songs are also lovely - I too specially love the lorie by Asha. wub.gif

Every time I hear Asha in one of RDB's and Gulzar's compositions (most often than not they are Gulzar's lyrics) - I think that the trio was made for each other. Only Asha could do justice to songs like this as well as other songs like Hamen raaston ki zaroorat nahin hain, aya na karo gudiya mere paas, and so many more that the list is endless

Uploading the Lorie here - Ai Ai re nanhe munne ko nindiya sulaye
Size - 2.94, length - 3.12
