Thank you so much. That was really quick...
Well, as regards your question on what is so special about this sad song ? I have heard this once earlier on world space and thought that the song was beautiful. Who was it who had said that the "sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thoughts".... I think sad songs are more poignant and touch a chord somewhere ;-) Other than that, the song is sung by my favourite Asha Bhonsle and music by Sardar malick which I quite like... thank you again Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water. - Albert Schweitzer Without music life would be a mistake - Friedrich Nietzsche Where words fail, music speaks - Hans Christian Anderson Music is spiritual. Yes.... a song by talat mehmood that I too like
Hasrat excelled in all forms of songs, though it were romantic ones which made him identifiable amongst music lovers. Percy Bysshe Shelley said, " Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought" which was later confirmed by another literary great Shailendra in the form of "Hai sabse madhur wo geet jinhen hum dard ke sur mein gaate hain" for film Patita. I am too, fond of this composition by Sardar Malik from Madan Manjari. Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water. - Albert Schweitzer Without music life would be a mistake - Friedrich Nietzsche Where words fail, music speaks - Hans Christian Anderson Music is spiritual. Here is the other song that you requested. Something about the tune is
triggering a memory of some other song (probably an English song). Can anybody help identify it. Song: ChaaNd bhi koi deewana hai Singers: Asha Bhonsle, Mahendra Kapoor Film: Apna ghar apni kahaani (1968) Music: N Dutta Format: mp3 Duration: 4:06 Bitrate: 128 kbps This song is beautifully sung by both of them. The Asha/N Dutta combo has yielded a lot of nice music. |

I am trying to connect this song to an English song(?) however also, for somereason this song reminds me of tow of Asha Bhonsle's song for movies The Great Gambler - Do lAFZON KI HAIN DIL KI KAHANI....and the other one from Do aur Do Paanch - ye zulfon ki mehki ghata kya kehti hain.... though there are no similaraties....
