Marc....Ragi is a type of millet and is called Finger Millet in English and is red in colour so also called Red Millet. In Hindi it is called Madua and Nachni in Marathi. In south, it is mixed with rice and boiled and after which it is made into balls..called Raagi balls. Instead of rice, many prefer this as as it is considered healthy and Yes, it does tastes better.. After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.

Honestly you have'nt missed anything ......it is nothing less than an ordeal to eat it rather swallow it...one cant chew it as it sticks all over your teeth, gums.....so you dip a piece of the mudde in the gravy and swallow it..... onnce is enough for me..... onnce is enough for me..... I get it rarely and do enjoy it with spicy Dhal.. Rightnow, hunting for something edible in Fridge.. After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.

No Marc...if you mean Ragi Balls..they are rice like, but will be more sticky. This is it ...with Dhal.
Medhu vadas are fried in oil.. After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.
