Marc....Ragi is a type of millet and is called Finger Millet in English and is red in colour so also called Red Millet. In Hindi it is called Madua and Nachni in Marathi. In south, it is mixed with rice and boiled and after which it is made into balls..called Raagi balls. Instead of rice, many prefer this as as it is considered healthy and Yes, it does tastes better.. smile.gif

Never had that before.
These do sound like Kofte though, but I could be wrong.

Honestly you have'nt missed anything biggrin.gif ......it is nothing less than an ordeal to eat it rather swallow it...one cant chew it as it sticks all over your teeth, gums.....so you dip a piece of the mudde in the gravy and swallow it..... huh.gif onnce is enough for me..... tongue1.gif
