Geetaji--shamshad Begum Duets Required

Ashish and Parag...here is the beautiful duet from suhagraat (1948).
The recording is done directly from the movie track..hence
there are some intial skips..but the quality of the recording
from track is always better if not the best.

LYRICS : KIDAR SHARMA (He seems to have influenced the music director
because it was his movie all the way. All the songs of this movie
are based on old punjabi/himachali traditional tunes..raag pahadi.

As the track has been ripped from the movie the bit rate has been kept at 192 kbps
to attain the best quality.

Mahesh ji, many thanks for this rare song. I think Kidar Sharma was the producer and the director of this moie. I think this is a debut movie of Geeta Bali.

Parag yes kidar sharma did the roles of producer, director, story writer, script writer
as well as song writer for this movie. It may surprise you that according to Kidar Sharma’s
memoirs Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was so struck by this Kidar Sharma song that he sent for him.
The lines that had entranced Panditji were : ‘ Aankhoon mein aankhain daal toonay mujhko kya pilaya: Jiss taarey par nazar parri, wo tara larrkharraya.’

Kya baat hain..! Kidar Sharma was a genius beyound doubts. He introduced Raj Kapoor, Madhu bala, Mala Sinha, Geeta Bali, Snehal Bhatkar among others.
