Hi friends

I want to get songs of duets of my favourite singers
Here is the list of duets of Geetaji and Shamshad which i require :

(1) aankhon aankhon mein vaah dil se dil ki baaten (MD : Shyam Sundar) Movie : Actress

(2) aayi basant rut odhe chunariya (MD : Hafeez Khan) Movie : Meharbani

(3) aayi hai diwaali sakhi aayi re (MD : Vasant Desai) Movie : Sheesh Mahal

(4) bahaar aayi chaman ke patte par (MD : Bulo C Rani) Movie : Nazare

(5) dekho to dil hi dil mein jalte hai jalnewaale (MD : Chitragupta) Movie : Hamara Ghar

(6) gunaahon ka chiraag kabhi na jal sakega (trio with Mohammed Rafi) (MD : Roshan) Movie : Agra Road

(7) ho gori tera baanka chhaila jeet ke aaya jung (MD : Shyam Sundar) Movie : Actress

(8) jiya ka diya piya tim tim (MOvie : Sunhere Din)( Maheshks Ji Tuhade Upar hai ae )

(9) mere dil ki dhadkanon mein sakhi kaun aa samaaya (MD : Snehal Bhatkar) Movie :Suhag Raat

(10) mujhse yeh keh rahi hain tasveer ki lakeeren (trio with Mohammed Rafi) (MD : Husnlal Bhagatram) Movie : Gauna

(11) nimbua pe papiha bola ambua pe koyal gaai (MD :Hafeez Khan) Movie : Lakeeren

I shall be thankful if anyone uploads this rare treasure and if any other except umangon ke din

Geeta and Shamshad sang atleast 20 duets together...

mujhse yeh keh rahi hain tasveer ki lakeeren (trio with Mohammed Rafi) (MD : Husnlal Bhagatram) Movie : Gauna<----- This song is one of the favorite songs composed by Qamar Jalalabadi and is also mentioned on his website runned by her daughter.

let me test them again.


I have 1, 3, 8 and 9 (the last one in video format uploaded by maheshks with some skips). One more duet which is coming to my mind is "Mera dil tarpa kai kahan chala" from Shabnam (S.D. Burman). And one more composed by Hemant Kumar (I think Mahesh uploaded it sometime ago).

Umango kai din beetet jayien was sung by Surinder Kaur, Geeta Dutt and Sulochana Qadam, not by Shamshad.

3 from sheesh mahal is certainly not geeta-shamshad.
It is pushpa hans ( the famous punjabi singer who sang those evergreen beauties
in punjabi movie "chaman") and shamshad.

Pushpa hans also acted in the movie sheesh mahal. All the songs picturised
on her were sung by her only while the shamshad's voice was used
for nasim bano.

and Geeta sang for Nigar Sultana in Sheesh Mahal.

Hello Parag,

There were two versions of the song in the film. A solo by Geeta picturized on Kamini Kaushal, and then a duet by Geeta-Shamshad picturized on Kamini and Paro, when Dilip Kumar and Paro try to bring Kamini Kaushals' memory back.
