Sriji juz played this song.. Kaahe Naina Ladi (Lata Mangeshkar) - Unnai Kann theduthey.. (Jikki??) Sriji please correct the info. N Unnai kaN theDudhe is from "Kanavane kaN kanDa deivam", sung by P Susheela and music by Hemant Kumar. BTW, are we uploading the songs as well, or just listing them? Following up to my own post, the strange thing is that the Hindi version of the song "Kaahe naina laDe" is from "JHamela", music by C Ramachandra. But the Tamil version is credited to the combination of Hemant Kumar and A Ramarao. Now who really created the original tune??? Also, somebody please point me to the S Janaki version of "Pal bhar me yeh kya ho gaya". |

BTW, are we uploading the songs as well, or just listing them? music is credited variously to Adi Narayana Rao* , some other Raos and C Ramchandra himself...i think the main composer for the film (1955 - Produced by Narayanan & Co.) appears to have been Adi Narayana Rao..but CR may have been credited for the contribution of this tune (orig film Jhamela 1963...produced by Bhagwan). But, highly unlikely to be Hemant Kumar's music, in any case.......where did you get this info SB ? Unless, there's another song in the film which was contributed by HK !! Sri * P Susheela site "Jis din is duniya se nafrat aur khudgarzi mit jaayegi, us roz yeh insaan naachega, us roz yeh dharti gaayegi" - Rajinder Krishan (Maa baap 1959)

Madhz lissening to tamil songs too Here is the song. Poo Mazhai Pozhigirathu - with SPB and Chitra singing for Pancham! N Pancham ka sawal hai baba. Thanks Nimz. Any way of explaining the main thrust of the song, the trasition from passionate solo to "romantic" duet is always intriguing. In the Bangla versions it is very frequent and more often than not I prefer the hindi versions... "This isn't right, this isn't even wrong." There is a Tamil version of the Rafi/Suman "APRIL FOOL" duet "Tujhe Pyar Karte Hain Karte Rahenge":
"Naan Malarodu Thaniyaaga" by TMS/Sushila in "IRU VALLAVARGAL". If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.

I guess this thread is about Tamil/Hindi songs with the same tune.
Not songs like "Varavu ettana selavu paththana" from "BAMA VIJAYAM" which had a Hindi version with a different tune as "Amdani athanni kharcha rupaiyya". If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.
