What do you guys think about the Third Test !
I am glad my cable service started showing the series and since I am off for the summer, I was able to watch it today. Vaughan was unlucky to get out on 166 when he was gearing his way towards a double hundred. Australia fought back well with Lee taking those two crucial wickets towards the end of the day. The last ball where he bowled Hoggard was a beauty ! Can't say much for Australia's fielding, it certainly was below their usual standard. Cheers Prince Ali |

Exhilarating match!!! Who says Test cricket is boring? Absolute cracker of a match. Aus just escaped being 2-1 down!!! That would have been some result. I feel sorry for England...

What a match !!
The last 4 overs of Lee and McGrath were the most tense. Australia just escaped from being down 2-1. England were very unlucky to lose this one, after they played really well. Credit to the Aussies though for keeping cool and cheers to Ponting for a brilliant innings. Looking forward to the fourth test 9 days away, hopefully the rain will not spoil the proceedings. Don’t get to see many test matches as exciting as this one, Ponting played a wonderful captains inning and truly deserved the man of the match.

QUOTE(Akhtar @ Aug 16 2005, 12:53 PM) No worries Akhtar bhai, the team has had a good rest and with Shoaib and our other main bowlers back the bowling should be fine. The batting lineup needs to get sorted out, they still don't have a solid opening pair. Prince Ali |

OK Guys (are there no gal cricket fans on this forum?)
Absolutely no question about it. The last two tests in the current Ashes series were absolute gems. What are your predictions for the 4th test commencing today? Akhtar, Iqbal, Vivek, Princeali, others, any guesses which way will it go? Anil |

What are your predictions for the 4th test commencing today? Akhtar, Iqbal, Vivek, Princeali, others, any guesses which way will it go? Anil England will be tough nut to crack. McGrath is missing this one I guess (so this means probably two changes in Australian bowling attack. Shaun Tait coming in for out-of-form Gillespie and Kasporowicz coming in for McGrath). I think England have an upper hand. It will be good for test cricket if England manage to win the Ashes... Cheers, V i V e K ...

McGrath failed late fitness test. Shows how desperate Aussies were to get him in. Not their fault after what they have seen in last two test matches. England won the toss and elected to bat...
From Cricinfo... QUOTE Australia suffered a major blow when Glenn McGrath failed a late fitness test on his injured elbow and was forced to admit defeat in his bid to play at Nottingham with his place taken by Michael Kasprowicz. McGrath looked ill at ease during the run out, and appeared to be struggling. Cheers, V i V e K ...
