I have been looking for her two songs for more than
four decades. These were heard on AIR during late 50s and 60s. 1 naa chunnii le surmayii kuDe tuuN laggeN badalii jaii kuDe 2 piite buuriyaaN majhaaN de Doke te jaTTii aaN meN Khunb vargii If anybody has these or other songs by her, pl ul. The singer is somebody else too. MK's voice was a bit thicker comparatively. She was from Punjab-India used to sing from Amritsar/Jallandhar stations of AIR. The uploaded song is sort of rejoinder to MK's song. She sang:naa chunnii lai surmayii ku.De, in contrast to this song's ' tuuN chunnii lai'. Tahira Syed has also recorded ' tuuN chunnii lai'. Part of the Mohinder Kaur's song goes like this: kyoN waalaaN nuuN sarkaanii aeN kyoN raat hanerii paanii aeN terii uThadii payii javaavii aeN kite aeveN na Dig payiiN ku.De naa ....................................... urzung khan |

This sounds very similar to the version by Tahira Syed which I have on a tape. But, it has been a long time since I heard it so let me find it out.  |

Just heard the two songs. In my opinion the singer is either Tahira Syed or some other singer has scrupulously tried to imitate her voice
. The particular tape probably has Tahira's songs from her younger days and she is in amazing form. Other gems are-1. keeklee kaleer dee 2. main kamlee diyan 3. Jhanjhar pabhdee naa 4. Haaniyaan vay 5. Sun sun way dopatta 6. Dam da kee bharosa 7. Tusaan noon maan 8. Pahvain jaan naa jaan 9. Tattay Koonje Naa Kurlaa 10. Channa Way Teee Channee |
