Thanks for UTube links.
Lately, they seem to have disabled video download facility. My browser's downloader add-on doesn't save videos.
Only way, I am saving videos is by saving the file from my /tmp folder. Is there any better way to save videos?

there is bookmarklet on top of the page.
put it in your bookmark toolbar. in the utube
page just click on the bookmarklet
which uses java plugin and gives you option
to download the different formats including mp4.

then I use ffmpeg to extract the audio.

mp42aac() { ffmpeg -i "$1" -dump -vn "${1%.mp4}.m4a" ; }

the above is just a unix shortcut.
the command is really ffmpeg -i <inputfile> -dump -vn <outputfile>
