A lovely song I recorded very many years ago from Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corpn

A bad recording... I have missed the begining of the song and am unable to find it with the rest of the lyrics.

Requesting members to throw some light on this. The rest of the lyrics as I could hear them on the cassette are:

Tum na rahe ?
ham na rahe ?
Chalta rahe ye caravan
dhoonde rawa ka caravan

1st Stanza
Shaam chale sehar chale
manzil se yunhi bekhabar chale ??


2nd Stanza

Phoole phale meri kali
gham na mile tujhe kahin

aaye na mausam e khiza
chalta rahe yeh caravan

3rd stanza

Duniya ka tu habeeb ho
manzil teri kareeb ho

This song is from Chor Bazaar (1954). The version I have starts with Chalta Rahe Ye Karwaan. I am not sure if there are any lines preceding this. Can you upload your version however bad it might be.

MY friend helped with me improving the sound of the song... now that I hear it again, yes, the song does start with Chalta rahe ye carawan... and not tum na rahe, hum na rahe like I thought it to be!!!

There is another Lata solo in "Chor Bazaar" - 'dar dar kii Thokare.n hai.n'. Lovely song! Unfortunately, the copy I have has an echo effect that is quite annoying. If anyone has a non-echo copy of the song, please DO upload it here!
