While I dont understand too much of Bengali, I strongly believe that music transcends all boundaries of language or religion.....And one does not need to know or understand words to love or appreciate music....
Here are some of my favourite bengali songs that I would start uploading one by one. A lot of these songs have also been transalated into Hindi by Salil Da, Hemant Da, SD Burman, RD Burman..... SOme of these songs are familiar as we have heard them in Hindi too. Such as O Sajna, Ja re ja re ud ja re panchi, Ansoo Samajh ke kyon mujhe ankh se tumne gira diya....

Bhavita Ji, please consider expanding it to include other singers as well - for songs which were originally sung in Bengali but are more well-known for the hindi version.....

One of RD Burman's most successful film scores was for Kudrat (1981). A famous song of its time, Tune O Rangeele Kaisa Jadoo Kiya was sung by Lata. Here is the original sung in Bengali by SD Burman.....
