Riding high on the mega success of their debut film "Barasat", the musical duo of Shanker Jaikishen ji gave majority of their songs to Lata ji. Geeta ji has sung very few songs for them, most of them being duets/group songs.

Yes Mahesh, that is a strange thing that out of the total 11 songs there is just 1 solo song, the rest of them being duets or trio/group songs.

Yes Mahesh, that is the other side of the coin too!

Composers like Chitragupt, Hansraj Behl, Gyan Dutt, Bulo C Rani, Avinash Vyas, S N Tripathi, N Dutta stood by her (apart from the trio of Sachinda, OP (to some extent) and Hemantda).

Its kind of unfortunate that she did not get to sing much in big banner films.
