Harbhajan mann's first hit song



Here is one important song for Harbhajan mann

Harbhajan mann 's " oye hoye" album brought him in limelight at national level. The song was a huge hit at national level. ( it featured MTV VJ maria ).

But his actual first hit song came in 1992 from his second album " chitiye ne chitiye". Harbhajan released tht album in Canada( whre he lived) and my cousin told me tht it was a big hit in punjab.( and even now)

This song has some very nice lyrics...... and is v fav of mine. lyrics reflects life of families who send their son abroad by borrowing money etc.

One of my frd liked this song a lot. but wat shocked me wat tht she was born in america and didnt had lot of relatives in punjab. but still she liked the lyrics immensly !

Yes, but that Hadiqa Kiani song 'Boohey Barian' and Hansraj Hans 'Panj Bariyan' were released at the same time. On Hansraj's album it says the lyrics of the song was writen by 'Bhushan Kumar', whereas in Hadiqa Kiani's album it says the lyrics were writen by 'Khawar', a famous lyricist of punjab, who has produced lyrics for artists like Akram Rahi. So im taking a wild guess that Hadiqa Kiani's was the original one.

Actually Hadiqa's album Roshni came out in 1999 and I think Hans Raj Hans' in 1996, but don't quote me on that, lol - I've read it both ways, Hans copied Hadiqa and vice versa, I'm unsure which way around it was, not that it's impt to me cause I love them both. I had gotten to know the Hadiqa song first and then Hans took it up a notch; from Boohey Baarian Thay Naale Kandha Tapke, Aavangi Hawa Ban Ke to his Panj Baarian, Pachasi Boohey Tapke. This song was also copied in Hindi OSTs:
Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam title song from 2002
Dil Laga Liya Maine from Dil Hai Tumhaara 2002

Hadiqa song ke lyrics halke hain HRH waale ke muqaable.

For me HRH song will alwyas going to remain special. it was this song which started my real interest in whole Punabi music.( folk etc ). else earlier I was limited to pop songs only. and this is my No1 punjabi song!

i thought it was from hansraj album 'roote to manave kaun'??? vasey i have to agree HRH has gave it a more folk-ish feel to it than hadiqa. Naseebo Lal, basically she just copies anything and anyone she can! Wouldnt even consider her an artist, shes's more like an con artist!

boohein bariyan was a hit in India. it has some nice "cute" lyrics and beats are also soothing. and then video was very good. it was in ultra slow motion . and people liked it immensly

Wat could be bigger proof of this song's popularity tht my Bhojpuri frd too liked this song and infact expected his GF to sing this song for him. !
I had to remind him tht this song is already derived from my fav song - panj bariyan .


no video was released for " panj bariyan". only video I have seen of tht album was tht of title song " Lal garara". it featured deepti bhatnagar in a nice lal garara. and then album lal garara was not as hit as earlier album of HRH " Ishq di barsaat". panj bariyan had some sufi touch in its lyrics. . tht could be reason. for low success of the album. thts why panj bariyan couldnt be so popular.

I think Apa Doway was originally sung HRH and Dil Taan Pagal Hai sung by Babbu Maan originally, personally i prefer the indian versions.

Akram Rahi & Attaullah Eisakhelvi. I have a lot of Attaullah Khan songs but i dont have alot of Akram Rahi songs his songs are kinda hard to come across.

I started listening to whole of chamkeela just few years ago. Though my cousins dont like him much. but I found few of his songs quite nice. and then it was big mystery for me why he has such a HUGE fan following across the world

I think after his death no duet singer could match his sucess and now recently Indian punjab is under huge wave of Duet songs. reminding of those Chamkeela duets !
