Thanks Reeth for all the pictures. There is a slight error with the one about CN Towers in Toronto. The picture you have posted looks like the Houses of Parliament in London.

Here is an amateur photo of the CN Tower rising above the Toronto skyline. I could not get the very top of the tower in the picture! sad.gif

You are most welvcome deep.............

Vidhana soudha is the state Legislature house, where all the ministers and the elected MLAs do their daily circus...
It was built in 1950's by our own eminent engineer Kengal Hanumantaiah , considered to be a marvelllous blend of various styles of architecture across the world.............it is really massive.............they have come up with a similar looking structure right next to it, built quite recently.........quite an eyesore...

regarding "The office towers, Dubai": it seems like they are bending towards each other...the reason may be as simple as the picture consists of many pictures that are put together...or are the buildings actually bending?

some more info about the opera house in sydney:
it was designed by a dannish architect, who was fired from the project in 1967, due to lack of budget control. he left sydney, and has never seen his most famous work except for on TV/pictures.
the estimated cost in 1957 was 7 mill$, and the final cost when it was complete in 1973 was 122 mill $. exceeding the forecast with appx 1400 %.

thank God for us Scandinavians wink2.gif
