Friends,
Downloading of C. Ramchandra / Rafisaab song "Yeh Hasrat Thi Ke Is Duniyamen Bas Do Kam Kar Jaate" reminded me another gem from this combination (and perhaps only combination from C. Ramchandra / Rafisaab / Dilipkumar) from the film Insaaniyat, which is: "Apni Chhaya Men Bhagwan Bitha Le Mujhe Main Hun Tera Tu Apna Bana Le Mujhe".
I think neither any one has requested for this song so far nor it is in the song library.
Earnest request for this song in MP3 please.
Best Regards

No need to feel "hasrat" any longer.
This team also featured in "Azaad".

You are write Unniji but if I am correct, Azaad does not have any number by Rafisaab. Therefore, "C. Ramchandra / Rafsaab / Dilipkumar" combo must have only song I referred from the film Insaniyat.
Anybody uploading this gem in MP3 format, would be much obliged.
Best Regards

Yes, ji! My reply was hasty. You are indeed right. The only male voice in "Azaad" was CR himself.

Thanks soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much Sharadji.
What a wonderful song, I wonder why this song is rarely played on radio and did not find a place in Rafisaab's cassettes / cds on devotional songs.
Thanks again.

Now I'm curious to know ke KYON aisa nahi..should be in cassettes and cds..it's such an excellent song I love it already, I had it all this time and I didn't even know about it!
There are about 4 Rafi songs in the movie
I already got out the Bandar song and this one, and couple of duets I think
let's check

I guess the answer is simple. There were a lot of good songs lost in insignificant/failed movies. And now music fans are discovering them.
In the instance of Rafi-sahab, it is a question of which song is better and which is even better. The quantity of output did not compromise the quality.
Yesteday, while listening to those old songs, what amazed me was that it seemed Rafi-sahab was singing each song as if it is his only recording! So much feeling goes into each song.
I remember, while listening to him at a concert, I turned to my brother and said, 'He is so involved in the song!".

Najam:
Perhaps you already know this: HMV Karachi has published albums containing really rare songs. All the old Rafi-sahab songs I've posted the last two days, have been derived from their published audio-tapes. I've not come across these issues by HMV India.
The HMV Pakistan audio tapes I have are:
SADNESS OF RAFI
SILVER SCREEN GOLD rafi
RAFI IN CONCERT (this is different from the Round the World album)
RAFI at his very best
Being in Lahore, you may be able to acquire rare numbers from such albums published earlier but perhaps still available from HMV.
But then, you might already be at it!
Cheers --- Unni

1. Here's Woh Hain Zara Khafa Khafa, Shagird - a personal favorite
5:48 96mp3pro
2. I have the revival version of Kisi Na Kisi Se... did you want it?
This is what they say about the Revivals, just in case you are wondering what I mean by it - "Carefully re-recorded, in a modern studio, using original instruments. This is then overlaid with the original voices of great singers. That's Classics' Revival. So these are not modern remixes or imitative recordings. Everything is original as good as new. As they were meant to be heard !! Enjoy !!"

Some revivals I have just ruin the songs with that music
some revivals do a good job
it doesn't sound too fake

myawan:
HMV is the music publishing company "His Master's Voice" (known in India as "The Gramaphone Company of India" but own locally by the Goenka company by the name of RPG). They are giants in the industry and have international presence, including their own music stores. My guess is that originally they were a British company.
I am positive they would have a site.

The address on the audio-tape is Estate Avenue, S. I. T .E, Karachi.
The building number is not printed clearly but it looks like C/28 (but could be 20 or 23 or 26).
